Scottie on the Hudson ︎
Bridging the Atlantic gap to bring Scottish Cuisine to the Hudson River Valley. Abranding concept for a contemporary Scottish-American restaurant located Poughkeepsie, New York, in the heart of the Hudson Valley region.
Owned and operated by Scots, they brought over their traditions to a place that reminds them of home. Scottie on the Hudson offers an authentic atmosphere of modern Scotland through food and drink.
The brand identity is inspired by two entities:
The Scottish Terrier, also known as the “Scottie” is one of the more popular Scottish breeds and is most often seen on shortbread tins and postcards.
The grey ripples are to represent the Hudson River, which runs through eastern New York in the United States.
Scottie and full text is used on stationery elements
