The Farming Chronicles ︎

A farming resource for youth. Food is fundamental for survival. It is important for us to be conscious of the choices that we make on what is consumed.

*Accredited research for this project was collected from farms in the surrounding Hudson Valley area, curriculum booklets, farming encyclopedias, books from Sojourner Truth Library, and interviews from workers in the agricultural field.

The Farming Chronicles is a resource dedicated to introducing an understanding of the wide range farming community through comprehension and activities within the booklet. The creation of this interactive booklet is an available method to inform and minimize the misconceptions of the agricultural industry. The overall goal of this project is to bridge the gap between consumers and farmers. Specifically to allow the oppourtunity for youth to understand where food comes from and how it reaches the table.

A series of seed packets were created as a secondary element to create a seed library for the Honors Program at SUNY New Paltz as a playful collection of illustrated vegetables.
